In the Classroom
I view the classroom as a space where curiosity encourages learning, critical inquiry challenges assumptions, and diverse perspectives enrich discussions. At Northern Arizona University, I have independently taught online, supported instruction in introductory and upper-level political science and criminal justice courses, and delivered guest lectures. My teaching incorporates case studies, structured discussions, and experiential assignments that connect theoretical concepts to real-world challenges. For example, I use participant observation assignments to help students apply research methods while reflecting on ethical considerations. Through constructive feedback and active engagement, I aim to strengthen students' ability to evaluate evidence, develop informed arguments, and critically examine political and social issues.
